Triage 2022 Year in Review

2023 is just around the corner and we are here for it. But before we say hello to 2023 and farewell to 2022, we wanted to run down just what we’ve been doing this year.

January 2022

Hip, hip hooray. The Triage website (finally) shows pay. We know it’s been a long time coming and we’re thrilled to show weekly pay estimates on the jobs featured on the Triage job board. Want to know how to use our job board and pay estimator? Check it out here.

February 2022

Triage celebrated its Sweet 16. That’s right, we AUTO be old enough to drive by now. Back in 2006, CEO John Maaske and COO Tyler Pieper founded Triage focusing on radiology and they haven’t looked back.

March 2022

In March, we asked and Triage travelers delivered. We wanted to know our travelers looked for in an assignment, what they needed from their recruiter and even how often then wanted a check in. Interested in the results? Check them out here.

Also in March, Triage was named to the Inc. 5000 Regionals: Midwest 2022 list of the fastest growing companies. We came in at spot 93 with a 114% growth year over year.

We finally let the cat out of the bag on our new office space with an announcement on our new digs. While the move won’t take place until sometime next year, the renovation has been ongoing since last spring.

May 2022

BetterNurse.org named us as one of their top two Best Travel Nurse Agencies.

Triage also celebrated its annual Derby Day with mint juleps, fancy hats and adults racing on tricycles. If you’re ever in Omaha or Cincy around Derby time, come check us out and join in the fun.

June 2022

In June, Triage CEO John Maaske received the Patriot Award from the Department of Defense. Maaske was recognized because of Triage’s support of internal employees and travelers who serve in the military Guard and Reserves and was nominated by Brian Tyler, a staff sergeant in the Army National Guard.

August 2022

Triage snagged spot #907 on the Inc. 5000 list of fastest growing companies in America. This is the first time Triage broke the top 1000 and the company’s seventh time on the list.

In August, Maaske celebrated his Patriot Award with a Boss Lift at a nearby Air Guard Base. Maaske took a tour of rural Nebraska in a Black Hawk helicopter and the flight was extra special because it was the first one that resumed after the Covid shutdown.

September 2022

In September, Triage was named as VeryWell Health’s Best Overall Travel Nursing Agency for the third year in a row.

We also celebrated the end of our fundraising season with a tailgate party. We hosted a Marys and Margs competition with a bloody mary and margarita contest, had some amazing barbeque and basket auctions to raise money for a great charity, Heartland Kids Against Hunger. All in all, Triage raised more than $34,000. Whoa.

October 2022

Health.com named Triage as the Best Travel Nursing Agency.

Also in October, The Gypsy Nurse named Triage as a finalist in all of its categories, including Best Overall Travel Nurse Agency, Most Loyal Travel Nurse Agency, Best Assignment Concierge, Most Traveler-Centric Benefits and Best Career Accelerator.

November 2022

This Veterans Day, Triage sent a Veterans Day t-shirt to everyone who served to commemorate their service. Additionally, Triage sold these shirts in our company store and donated proceeds to two organizations that help veterans.

One of our own, Kris Knudsen, was named to the Staffing Industry Analysts’ Global Power 150 Women in Staffing list. Kris is our director of Strategic Partnerships and under her leadership, Triage has seen incredible growth and retention.

We were also named as a top 15 healthcare staffing firm by SIA. This means more available jobs for our travelers.

December 2022

In December, Triage capped off its giving season with a few notable events. Both Omaha and Cincinnati packed meals for international organizations with meals sent to Eswatini in Southern Africa and to countries bordering Ukraine. Additionally, Cincinnati raised more than $12,000 to adopt six local families for the holidays.

With just about two weeks left, we can say it’s been a banner year for Team Triage and we’re excited to see what’s next. Want to join us in 2023? Check our our job board full of allied and travel nurse jobs and join our team.
