Finding your next gig shouldn’t feel like a second job.

Finding your next gig shouldn’t feel like a second job.

At Triage, we do our best to help make the time you spend on the road worth it. If you’ve never traveled with us—or at all, you may be wondering exactly how it all works.

It begins with you. And what you want out of your career and the traveling lifestyle. Some want the chance to see new locations, gain experience working in different facilities, with different equipment, or the opportunity to put miles between you and that ex—hey, we’re not here to judge. It’s the starting point for what comes next.

Important to note that most traveling nurses and medical professionals will need at least two years of experience before beginning to travel. The exception to that rule is rehab therapy professionals. Many can usually start their life on the road upon graduation.

Find your recruiter. Since you’re already here, we’re feeling confident that might be one of us. But do your research. Check out a few options, ask around or read reviews. We make it really easy to find ours: GoogleFacebookGlassdoor | Indeed

And while we are at it, we’re not too humble to share a few of the Best Of Lists we’ve made.

Get down to the nitty gritty.

Once you’ve found a recruiter who suits you, they’ll guide you through a series of steps to securing your first gig. Things like submitting an official application, polishing your resume, establishing your professional skill set, understanding the types of facilities and situations you prefer. And, of course, they’ll cover the ins-and-outs of working with Triage—pay, benefits, housing assistance, etc.

Let’s do this. Once the details are squared away, it’s time to start submitting you to open placements. Phone interviews ensue. Offers arrive. And off you go.

But we’re not finished. Of course we’re not finished. Your recruiter is with you every step of the way. They help with finding housing, structuring your benefits as your tax pro advises, and keeping tabs on how much your temporary bosses love you (and what to do if they or you have lost that lovin’ feeling).

Repeat as needed. Once your assignment is up, you can dive right back in or take a breather. Your call. Just like about everything else at Triage.

In it for the money?
We get it.

Whether it is paying off student debt, seeing the country sea to shining sea, or paying for a family, we’re under no illusions about money’s role in your decision to travel. Read on for more about how you get paid, some expense we’ll help you manage, and how our benefits package works.

Pay

Turn in your timecard on time and you get paid weekly. How much you’ll get paid varies assignment-to-assignment. We strive to be as transparent as possible about this part of the process.
