Here in the Midwest the leaves are about to start changing and the temperatures are going to cool down, meaning only one thing. It is officially the start of college football season. For some of our traveler’s game days are the equivalent to national holidays and here at Triage we could not agree more. While there may be a little bias because Triage is headquartered in Nebraska (Go Huskers!), we are here to compile an unbiased list of the best fall travel destinations for traveling allied and nursing medical professionals who love college football season as much as we do. 1) Texas
You either love them or you hate them, there is no in between. Everything is bigger in Texas including the number of college football teams and the amount of traveling allied and nursing medical professional jobs. Weather you are chanting Hook’em Horns wearing University of Texas orange or if Texas A&M Maroon is more your style, the Triage job board has eleven pages of jobs throughout the state of Texas to help make sure you are not missing any of the action. 2) Ohio
The Buckeye state is home to the third biggest university in the nation, Ohio State University and there is nothing more that the people in Ohio love more than a Saturday college football game. While Ohio has one of the biggest football fans bases in the nation, they also have a plethora of travel healthcare jobs available for almost any nursing or allied specialty. Ohio is also surrounded by states with amazing football programs including Indiana, Michigan, and Kentucky making it an easy weekend trip to go support your favorite teams. Whether you are a fan of the tree, the mascot, the peanut butter chocolate candy, or the football team, the Buckeye state is a great place to start your next traveling healthcare journey.
3) North Carolina
We know that you hear the term blue blood teams mostly around March Madness time, however the rivalry still remains strong when it comes to football. North Carolina is home to two infamous blue blood teams located basically in each other’s backyards. The rivalry between Duke University and the University of North Carolina makes North Carolina an exciting place to accept a traveling healthcare assignment in the fall. 4) California
West Coast best coast is what some of our travelers and football fans like to say to us. Whether the West Coast is your thing or not with teams like UCLA there is no denying that it is a fun place to travel in the fall plus the warmer weather does not hurt either. Speaking of travel, California due to its size has numerous amounts of traveling healthcare positions available. With so many teams and conferences to choose from, the Golden State is the place to be for college football season. 5) Tennessee
If you are a Tennessee Vols fan, then the song “Rocky Top” is music to your ears. While Tennessee is known as being the birthplace of country music it is also home to some of the best college football teams in the nation. Along with a number of top tear football teams Tennessee has numerous amounts of traveling healthcare jobs for the travelers looking to rep orange and white this football season. 6) Alabama
It would be a crime to have a list of the best places to travel during college football season and not have the state of the king of college football himself Nick Saben on it. The Alabama Crimson Tide is known for having one of the best college football programs in the nation so no wonder they have quite the fan base. Here at Triage, we are also a big fan of Alabama because there are six pages of job listings on the job board for those Alabama fans looking to cheer on their team all season long. If the Crimson Tide is not for you do not fret Alabama has a number of other division one football teams including Alabama A&M University, Auburn University, Alabama State University, Jacksonville State University, Samford University, Troy University, University of Alabama at Birmingham, and the University of South Alabama. If you want to do a little more exploring during your thirteen week stay in Alabama it is right next to Georgia and Mississippi making for an easy weekend trip to some of the other amazing college football stadiums in the country.
