A few months ago, we asked what charting system different facilities used. And man, did Triage travelers deliver. Nearly 350 travelers responded, giving us all valuable insight into facilities and even how much orientation time travelers received when they started a new assignment.
About half of all respondents reported that their facility used Epic and they received anywhere from a few hours to a week and a half of orientation. About a third of folks said their facility used Cerner. Most of these folks said they got two days of orientation before diving right into working at their facility.
About 50 travelers used Meditech and their orientations ranged from a full week to none at all.
Other smaller charting systems included Allscripts, Medhost, Point Click Care, Sunrise and even paper charting.
