Elizabeth’s Life Saver Award
Nuclear medicine technologist Elizabeth recently went above and beyond for a patient at her facility in Wisconsin during her last assignment.
Because of her exceptional attention to detail, Elizabeth noticed a subtle, yet significant change in a patient’s demeanor. Instead of moving forward with a testing procedure, Elizabeth alerted another member of the medical team that the patient needed a higher level of care and medical evaluation.
Elizabeth’s instincts and quick action meant that the patient was referred to the emergency department, where significantly abnormal lab values were discovered. If left untreated, this patient could have had a series cardiac event.
“Elizabeth’s actions exemplify the very best of what it means to work in healthcare: compassion, attentiveness and a deep sense of responsibility to those we serve. Well done, Elizabeth! Your dedication makes a real difference and we are incredibly proud to have you on the Aspirus team,” said the facility in the award presentation.
“Elizabeth is so awesome at what she does and this Life Saver award is very well-deserved. I’m so proud of her and thrilled to work with her as a Triage traveler. Elizabeth, thank you and congratulations again!” said Elizabeth’s recruiter, Nick.
If you’re a radiology professional who wants to join Team Triage’s roster of amazing healthcare providers, reach out to Nick and he’ll get to work getting you to work.
