The Joint Commission is a U.S. non-profit that works to accredit hospitals and health care. The Commission’s goals are “to continuously improve health care for the public, in collaboration with other stakeholders, by evaluating health care organizations and inspiring them to excel in providing safe and effective care of the highest quality and value.”
Sounds great, but what exactly does it mean? Basically, The Joint Commission works to promote patient safety. The Joint Commission and Triage go way back and Triage has been an accredited agency since 2007.

Our The Joint Commission gold seal of approval tells the facility we mean business. Good business. The kind that comes with an official acknowledgment that we meet (or exceed) health care industry standards. And every year, Triage goes through an annual review to make sure that we’re always up to par. We work hard to make sure we’re exceeding the standards from The Joint Commission.
- To the hospital, it means they know we’re not sending scrubs to fill their scrubs. They’re getting the most talented professionals available to meet their staffing needs.
- To the patients, it means they can rest easy knowing their nurse is fully capable of caring for them while they heal.
