At Triage, we’re lucky to work with some of the hardest-working healthcare professionals around. Today, we’re excited to celebrate one of them: Courtney, an X-ray tech and long-time Triage traveler who just wrapped up a year-long contract at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center—and officially passed her Nuclear Medicine Registry exam!
Courtney has been a familiar face at Dartmouth for multiple contracts and extensions, always representing Triage with professionalism, skill, and a healthy dose of humor. She’s known for her laughter and lighthearted spirit, but also for her ability to dig in and get the work done when it matters most.
Courtney is a shining example of what it means to be Real. Ready. She embodies Triage’s values of Drive, Integrity, Respect, and Reliability. Courtney’s drive made this all happen—she knew what she wanted to do and went after it!
“Just over a year ago, Courtney approached me about an opportunity to train in CT. I was excited for her, but disappointed because I knew that as a traveler, it was hard to continue a travel journey while studying and doing clinicals in another modality. Then, about a week later, she called me again and said, ‘Let me sign a contract for Dartmouth, I am going to Nuclear Medicine School!’ This was great news, and the X-ray managers at Dartmouth were happy to be flexible for Courtney’s career development,” said Courtney’s recruiter Monica Hicks, R.T.(R)(ARRT).
Her journey this past year has been nothing short of remarkable. Last summer, Courtney signed on for a 36-hour-per-week X-ray contract with Dartmouth, while also starting Nuclear Medicine school in September. Thanks to the incredible support of Dartmouth’s imaging managers, she was able to complete her clinical hours on top of her contracted work. That meant many weeks of 65–70 hours—balancing shifts, studying, and unpaid clinicals.
Through it all, Courtney showed grit, determination, and heart. She faced plenty of challenges along the way, but never lost her drive or sense of purpose. And a couple weeks ago, all that hard work paid off when she officially became a registered Nuclear Medicine technologist.
The best part? Her journey with Dartmouth isn’t over. Courtney is now stepping into a brand-new, full-time role at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center, bringing her talents to a new chapter in her career.
