A Big Congrats to a Two-Time DAISY Award Winner

Some recognition just hits different. And when a nurse earns two DAISY Awards during the same assignment, it’s a pretty clear sign she’s doing something special.

That’s exactly what happened with Erica, who was recently honored with not one, but two DAISY Awards while on assignment in Wisconsin.

If you’re not familiar, the DAISY Award recognizes nurses who go above and beyond for their patients. These awards come directly from nominations written by patients, families, and coworkers who’ve experienced that care firsthand. In other words, this kind of recognition isn’t handed out lightly. It’s earned through moments that truly stick with people.

During her time in Wisconsin, Erica clearly made that kind of impact. According to their nomination, Erica’s patient’s family said that her dad “was impressed with his day nurse, especially when she recited his recent hospitalization and concerns in complete chronological order. His nursing staff really filled the communication gaps and connected his concerns to his doctors.”

The other nomination said this, “Erica was exceptional. She talked me through things that were scary and helped me understand my conditions. She made sure I was always calm and distracted by fun things to do and volunteered to take me for walks to help me feel better. She cares about the well-being of every person in the room.”

These moments remind everyone why great nurses matter so much—not just for the clinical care they provide, but for the way they show up for people when it matters most.

“Hearing that Erica won two DAISY Awards didn’t surprise me one bit. She’s the kind of nurse who makes a difference wherever she goes and it’s awesome to see her recognized. I’m so proud to have her as a part of Team Triage,” said Erica’s recruiter, Katie.

We’re incredibly proud to have Erica out there representing Triage and doing what they do best: taking great care of patients and leaving a positive mark wherever they go.

Two DAISY Awards. One assignment.
Safe to say that’s a job well done.

Congrats, Erica. And thanks for the care you bring to every shift.
