We like to ask each featured traveler to tell us what makes them so special and what sparked their decision to travel with Triage. Read on to learn more about Nick:
Nick
Laboratory Technician
How long have you been traveling?
I have been traveling with Triage for 18 months.
What made you decide to travel?
My family and I needed a better life and one that afforded us the opportunity to do more with our family. A chance of a lifetime.
Where do you think you’ll travel next?
Hopefully we can get somewhere out near Arizona next and enjoy a change of scenery and weather.
Why Triage?
The staff are more personable and take the time to get to know each of their travelers. As an example, I would like to do a shout out to Walter Green. He reached out to me during a time that I could not travel, we spoke for some time and shared some of our lives with each other, and he remained very professional throughout all of it. He stayed in contact with me for the following months, seeing if there was anything he could do for me, checking on my family and me. I hadn’t even applied to be a Triage employee and yet he treated me as if I was already part of their family. This is something I haven’t found with any of the other companies when they reached out to me. I can say Triage is by far the best out there, both in quality of assignments and professionalism of their staff.
How do you spend your days off?
My wife and I enjoy traveling together with our little ones to all the different attractions that are around each new assignment we go to. Giant City State Park in Illinois; the Science Museum and the Mall of America in Minneapolis, Minnesota; Cosi in Columbus, Ohio and many more. Spend days at the local parks, homeschool events to get the kids out with others their age. Just the whole course.
What do you geek out on?
Star Trek. I’m a trekkie. Anything that’s sci-fi really. No, I cannot speak Klingon.
What’s the most spontaneous thing you’ve ever done?
I would have to say getting married was one of the more spontaneous things I’ve ever done.
Tell us about a personal goal you’ve set for yourself.
A personal goal that I’ve set for myself is to be a better man that I was the day before. Never stop learning and always give it my best.
What’s your favorite family tradition?
Thanksgiving. A time when all of our friends and family can come together and share their stories, enjoy each others company, trade and try new recipes. It’s just a wonderful time of year.
