Darla

Physical Therapist

How long have you been traveling?

I have been a traveling PT for a total of 8 years!

What made you decide to travel?

I wanted to travel for the flexibility in my schedule and to see different cities in the US. When I complete an assignment, I like having the option to take time off to visit my family, travel somewhere new, or take a staycation. Another big reason I started to travel is that I wanted to become stronger in my field of practice. Traveling helps me gain experience in multiple different therapy settings, which has allowed me to grow into a better physical therapist.

Where do you think you’ll travel next?

I have no idea! I am loving Northern Virginia at the moment and plan to stay for one more assignment.

Why Triage?

Triage offers great benefits and has amazing recruiters that have placed me in the locations I wanted to be in. (On a side note, I followed my recruiter Bill Halloran, from his previous job over to his position with Triage)

What is one thing still on your bucket list?

I want a dog! Yes, having a fluffy fur ball is on my bucket list. I haven’t killed the plants on my patio this summer, so I think I am ready to take on a pet.

What’s your go-to karoke song?

Girls Just Wanna Have Fun….Cyndi Lauper

what is one food you can never give up?

CHOCOLATE…whether it’s in my coffee creamer or a tablespoon of chocolate chips, I have to eat it every day.

What was your favorite cartoon growing up?

She-Ra: Princess of Power

What’s the most spontaneous thing you’ve ever done?

I put my belongings in storage, packed 2 suitcases and bought a one way ticket to Hawaii. I was lucky enough to have a friend stay with me for a couple of weeks. Then I found a full-time job (travel jobs are so hard to get here!) and an apartment and lived there fore more than 3 years!
